I’ve been away on vacation and am just back now, catching up on the market. I just have to shake my head when I see this.
Chris Johnston once told me that every forum has someone who’s a bit of a nutcase.
I think she offered a lot of great insight here initially, but she just ended up rubbing everyone the wrong way, often unintentionally. Around the time she pissed of Docteur, the dye was cast, and I think her internet persona was born – she found provoking people to be her shtick.
She has so much potential, and it all just seems wasted because of her ego, and lack of simple social skills online. It’s too bad because she’s a really nice person offline.
Hey – maybe Docteur will come back now !!!
I wish he would. I was pretty ticked off when PS drove him away.
sdduuude,
I was thinking exactly the same thing not 30 minutes ago. I’d love to have Docteur back.
sdr
I don’t condone the public attacks at all or any sort of unprofessionalism but my unbiased view is that her site looks good.
I too think that powayseller’s site looks good.
Here’s what my advice to powayseller would be:
1) Layoff the attacks on others. Let them be and continue to produce your own excellent reports. It’s OK to point out other people’s mistakes but do so only in passing, saying that you differ from the author — no need to tear them apart.
2) Fixating on other people’s work is counter-productive. You should be busy on your own work rather than spending time reading other’s people writing.
3) It’s not your job to save the world. If might serve you better if others are obviously wrong. Your work will shine all the more. Why would you want to correct them and give away your competitive advantage?
4) People are under no obligation to issue corrections just because you e-mail them. They don’t work for you.
5) Relax a little and think “que sera sera.”
