And for the record, Pat and Oscars reopened at the pond, so how bad could it be?
Wow, that took about two weeks, I guess the sun will come up tomorrow.
BTW, I never said inflation wasn’t inflation wouldn’t come, I’m actually counting on it, but I thought I had a few years before anybody noticed.
I guess inflation would be good in some ways for me too.
October 11, 2011 at 1:21 AM #730440paramountParticipantA couple of weeks ago ECRI stated we were either entering or were in a recession. I checked into their historical predictions and it is true, they have never been wrong calling a recession.
To date….
I hope this is their 1st false positive.

2006 was the result of loose monetary policy and an administration that loved to spend, so wouldn’t that be the same?October 11, 2011 at 11:16 AM #730463scaredyclassicParticipantGod, 300 for a jazz concert in temecula just sounds high.

Interesting that a lot of job contraction has been on the government side. We’ve see a lot of cutbacks at the state and local levels.
In the next 5 years we will have 1 million jobless veterans.

I feel like it’s 2006 and I’m the only guy with stock rims in a paid off car.
lol!

I let a 2001 carrera cabrio garage queen with 50k miles go to some other schmuck for 20k, now I can’t find one this side of 24k that is in similar condition. 2006 vettes, 2003 XKR’s, same story, the liquidation of toys has ended. I’m going to end up driving a sonata and castrating myself with a butter knife out of frustration.
Ha!
My son bought a Lexus LS400 6 months ago for $4K. Someone ran into him along the coast and totalled it last month – the woman’s insurance just cut him a check for about $10K….he was thrilled until he started car shopping and found out it was going to cost him that to replace it!
Yes indeed, prices are on the rise. At least here in SoCal.
(ps – love your taste in cars….I’m a vette and XKR man myself. We will be in the market for a XF here shortly – that 2012 XF refresh is jaw dropping)
October 12, 2011 at 7:54 AM #730517scaredyclassicParticipantMy 80s Japanese car is leaking so much oil my wife is making me park it at the bottom if a steep driveway. Kind of the opposite of luxury.
My kid just got his permit.
I need a safe car for him.
Definitely not this piece of crap.

scaredy, if you have a Toyota, I can recommend a good honest garage in SD who can replace that main seal and/or cam seal so your son will be able to use the car. pm me if you need it.
