I think DWCAP made a very good point. If you are not familiar with a community then the chances are substantial that you will be just as happy with a home in neighboring communities. Are you choosing Poway because of school district? Remember Poway school district serves alot of the I15 corridor, PQ, RB, Sabre Springs, Carmel Mtn Ranch, Poway, even Stonebridge at Scripps.
Renting in the community you wanna live in for a year is the best way to get to know the good and bad of that community.
