If she hangs it out there for all to see, then it’s not a shame anymore. She could campaign on a lesson well learned.
Do you think that Realtors and financial advisers who have foreclosures, bankruptcies and tax liens disclose to their clients? Would you like to know before you hire that person?

But in the same vein someone who helo’c over 200K out of their home and then lost it is not someone I want overseeing public school budgets.

Honest about it? The article makes it sound like she was confronted with the issue – a matter of public record – during an interview. Of course she was honest about it. She got caught and there was no reasonable rebuttal. It was an inconvenient truth (hat tip Al Gore) that couldn’t be denied. That brand of “honesty” gets zero points from me.
