Another interesting listing. Nice architecture and upside potential but again under the flightpath.

ParticipantWow. I have no numbers, but that seems ~2001 price level. (Wise Piggs, how to check “price level”, i.e., peg it to a year?)
Loma Portal in general has two issues that annoy me:
1) Airplane NOISE that will rattle the fillings out of your teeth.
2) Many 4-way intersections with no stop signs. Almost got hit on a bike there, now I just steer clear. That said, this could be a nice deal, depending on rehab costs. From the redfin listing: “…bring this 1930’s Art Deco back to its glory days or scrape and build new. This home needs everything!…”

ParticipantMeh, all you have to do is live in a construction site for ten years what’s the big deal…just learn to cough and time your speaking around airplane landings…
Seriously though, I’d take that over Carmel valley any day of the week. That house is amazing, and for 300k I would jump all over it. Sadly it will proably get the IKEA flipper treatment and remove all charm.
