POZ
ParticipantChris,
Pathetic is taking on what should be your most important life investsment and not doing your homework. I understand how you feel; but if we get emotional about the whole thing we are going to make the same mistakes all over again. Did you read the content of the letter? I made it clear that for those who were conned and defrauded there should be due process.
Believe me when I say I harbor no ill will, I have two friends of mine and a couple of other coworkes, not to mention my brother (who did not listen to me when i asked him to reconsider) who are directly impacted by what we are trying do. 3 out of the 5 people I mentioned have already gone through forclosure and have lost their homes. Guess what? neither of them want a handout and all are assuming personal responsibility for signing on the dotted line. to quote my friend: “We knew what we were getting into, we took a chance and it didnt work out for us, now we just have to start all over”
C’est la vie

ParticipantI wonder how all of you who sold at the peak feel about a bail out? My guess is No frickin way you would want to see it. For those who sold at the top to try and time the market, do you realize that you were already bailed out by the system in place at the time (liar loans, exotic financing, loan fraud)? How about we have all the people who sold out at the peak return their windfalls instead of having a government bailout?
Didn’t think so…………

Participantsdr—I’ve got to imagine the number of homeowners who “sold at the top to try and time the market” is statistically insignificant (approaching zero), right?
