For that reason, business owners would likely have more influence on the outcome of the vote than residential property owners.”

Pacific Beach Business Improvement Association, which already gets business-member-only tax dollars from its Business Improvement District (BID) members. DiscoverPB’s stated mission in its legal financial filings is to “promote and support businesses.
Can’t the alcohol tax cover this, since the crimes are alcohol related.
There are so many ways to come up w/money for this and the burden should not be on homeowners. I’m pissed.
Also posted on UT:
According to Luis Ojeda in the Economic Development department, lord overseer of BID-enforced MADs, property revenues are UP, thus the special assessments funds are UP, because of late-payment fees
