ParticipantThis tragic event in itself isn’t a reason to do anything, but it might be blamed for a market dislocation that’s probably going to happen sooner than later. There’s been growing evidence world’s economy is slowing down and certainly many stock markets around the world aren’t pricing that slow down in. At some point a country in the Euro is going to leave it and when that happens I think the Euro will fail. Of course the timing is hard. The euro and/or stock markets could be higher from here in the short or medium term. If you short the Euro now you’ll probably be right at some point a few years from now but you might not be right a month from now or even a year from now.

ParticipantAm I the only one the watches the news and think what the hell you taking about. Masterminds, complex attacks yards yadda and what I see is eight guys with machine guns and crowded popular venues.
What’s complicated or masterminded about that?

I was thinking the same. All you need is a bunch of angry guys. It could easily happen over here. In fact, is does happen here, but one guy at a time.

If France’s bombs miss ISIS, then what we need to do is have the NSA:
1)Locate the main ISIS computer
2)Install Linux
3)Issue the command rm -rfThen, using remote drones operated out of Nevada, we can locate ISIS’s tape storage facility and bomb it too.
All their complex plans will be lost and they’ll have no backups.

ParticipantHacker group Anonymous just announced they will be targeting ISIS.
I think it would be better to leave their digital trail intact and use it to direct strikes back at them.

I just saw that article with the picture:

All I could think of was this:

ParticipantActually ISIS is using a sophiscated social media and propaganda campaign to recruit. IMHO if anonymous could leave the trail intact while hijacking their media and overlaying images of the truth on top of the propaganda they’d be doing a service.
What could say more with the cherub cheeked Austrian girl smiling with her ISIS warriors calling others to ‘the cause’ than picture of the yazidi mass graves of all women between 40 and up and picture s of the rest of the women at the sex slave auctions?

GuestHow sophisticated is their social media? It’s the same social media everyone else uses, including Christian religious groups in the West. The thing with social media is that they allow interlocutors to bridge distances and come together in the meeting of the minds.

Jeb Bush (and many others) is advocating no-fly zone over Syria. Really? How many ISIS planes are flying there? Whose planes are you going to shoot down? Putin’s?
