Oh never mind, we just watch Nascar and Indy here :)
FLU: Not true! The building next to my dad’s at Ford Aerospace in Palo Alto was the infamous SVO (Ford’s Special Vehicle Operations) and we had tickets through Ford to Laguna Seca and Sears Point for IMSA, Grand Prix and American Le Mans (as well as the occasional F1 series). We were there pretty much every weekend during the various seasons. Those races were crawling with hot women.
Matter of fact, a group of buddies and I got to meet Christie Brinkley at Sears Point in either 1982 or 1983, when she was dating that French F1 driver and touring with him.
The guys at SVO helped me build up a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach I with a 428CJ motor, but that’s a story for another day.

sorry, that was before my time…I stopped following nascar the day Toyota entered it. That’s just so wrong in so many ways…. (not that I’m against it. It’s just seems a little odd)…And my only interest in Indy is to see how well Dana Patrick does. F1 is just getting too weird for me (in terms of regulations).
Did not know SVO was out of Bay Area in the past. Interesting. That was one area I’d wish Ford would invest more in…. All I can say is Ford better not f this one up with the 2010 SHO
