Here is a typical question on an exam that W. had to pass. W. had to answer 60 questions like this in order to qualify for flying. What should be the approximate elapsed time from the BOSEMAN (BZN) VOR to the DUBOIS (DBS) VORTAC if the wind is 24 knots from 260 degrees and your intended True Air Speed is 185 knots? (The magnetic variation is 17deg. E)
A. 33 minutes
B. 37 minutes
C. 39 minutesNow can you answer that question on your own? If so, maybe you’re right that W. is not an intelligent person. But the evidence proves you wrong.

I took and passed this test before I was halfway through High School. And I wasn’t the most stellar HS student.

You are correct. I’m sure you learned during your many years of service, that there is no nepotism in the military. Never. And no one ever cheats on exams either…
[/quote]This is where facts come in. W. was trained, tested, competed with others, and was qualified to fly military aircraft. Despite what you may think of our military, there are very few who would put an unqualified person into the seat of such an aircraft. Flying such expensive machinery entails hours and hours of training. Flying a plane (especially back then) is not the same as getting your driver’s license. You do not put unqualified people into a million dollar machine.
You can’t cheat your way into that, despite how little you think of our military.
