weight can be faked.
bezels can be swapped out.
original bezels are sold alone on ebay.
bands can be easily swapped out on the rolex and indeed it’s trendy to get rid of the metal bracelet and just wear it on a NATO strap

Yes my fake Rolex is lighter than a real one. It’s pretty authentic looking though.
the weight seems to me the easiest thing to fake.

as this shows, counterfeiters are really not skimping on detail in their fakes and you need to have some prior knowledge to know youre not getting a high level fake
historically rolexes have done well against inflation; but the retail keeps going upa nd up on the them. what you get for 6 to 7k just doesnt strike me as that much monies worth of watch.
but it’s safe ina sense. there will probably always be a market.
