So far I was told by several acquaintances not to shop at Mor and not to purchase the ‘stain’ insurance. Any additional advice would be highly appreciated.

Furniture consignment, antique shops. You will be shocked how much is out there. Quality stuff and at least 50% below new furniture prices. I will never buy new again.And I hate to furniture shop.
