Do you use component inputs from FIOS box to TV? If so see if the red connector or port at either end is broken.
edit – If you are using HDMI, I am not if the connector/ports will be a problem. You can try swapping inputs and cables between FIOS box and DVD player to see if the problem shifts to DVD player.

I’d suggest pushing all the wires onto their connectors more firmly.
