News today is about Hillary vetting running mates. Eh, don’t care, simply because it’ll be a careful considered and calculated decision, IMO. Warren, possibly in an appeal to Bernie supporters. Someone else to wards off other issues.
Either way, likely a very understandable and established person with political chops.
Trump on the other hand, the exact opposite.
But the bigger question, who’s political ambitions are that suicidal or that egotistical to align with the potential train wreck and end your career or actually have to serve as his VP for 8 years if you’re going to become President yourself.
Is there any upside to a VP candidate on a Trump ticket? If he loses, you’re toasted. If you win, you’re Trump’s VP and would likely need to be for eight years before you get a shot at being President yourself. Will he appoint Omarosa? She has White House experience. 😉
I think the Constitution provides that when the president is exceedingly great he can also simultaneously be the VP. I predict trump will run as both because he is the best.
There are a lot of good candidates out there for VP, but the question is who will he ask and who will accept. Will probably be a political outsider, but who knows. I think it will be a 4 year gig.

I think it’s very likely he picks a very much establishment candidate. Someone with lots of experience. His core supporters won’t really care; they’re too excited about Trump being president. But lots of people on the fence might say, “his vice president Senator McSperience will help him understand how things really work in the U.S. government, and will keep him from going too far off the reservation.”
Just my guess.
But, yeah, getting a guy who’s that much of an insider to risk his political career by accepting, that might be tricky.
Bob Corker has been angling for the position. I’m betting Bob Corker. It’s fun to watch how Trump makes the republicans squirm. He summoned Corker to Trump tower and the guy willingly made the trek. The Republican Party is now the party of Trump
It must be calculated. How many people who would actually vote for Trump were turned off by his comments regarding the judge? He can’t win by being PC. He will try to win by drawing in people who usually don’t vote.
There has to be a lot of people who voted American Idol and did not vote for either Obama or Romney. If Trump gets large % of ‘his team’ (and he will) and enough reality TV voters he might pull it off.
