as long as you don’t have a flat or hit a bird at 155MPH. Because paramedics would have to scoop you up with a spoon and your relatives would have to bury you in a closed coffin.
At least it’ll be a quick death, right? :-).April 23, 2009 at 6:33 PM #386738anParticipant
as long as you don’t have a flat or hit a bird at 155MPH. Because paramedics would have to scoop you up with a spoon and your relatives would have to bury you in a closed coffin.
The new LS7 is pretty close of coming back to the craziness of the big block. I heard w/ TT, those things can easily hit 700WHP. I love the sound of the big block V8 too, but I’m partial to forced induction. A lot of the closed deck iron block I6 from Japan (GT-R and Supra) are hitting 1000WHP. Those things don’t have very good 0-60 due to turbo lag, but they’re total highway monsters.
Some of them do…
Not that drag racing is my thing, but…
Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear did an episode on one such beast one time.
Skyline GTRs/Supras are pretty much a cult car in asia. Plenty of the older generations have been tuned above 1000hp. Hence understandably why the latest skyline available in the U.S. is so coveted.
Nope, I wouldn’t be able to handle it.

Shit, Eugene, your relatives could bury you in a shoebox if you ate it at that speed.
As the old expression goes: “Live fast, die young and live a good looking corpse.”
