Don’t worry about it unless they do something that compromises your safety and security. You’re a libertarian, right?

Yes, but for most of us IMO there is a natural process to life.
Do you start off driving a BMW 335? No, most of us start off with a beater and work our way up.
The same goes for housing.
If you skip to the front of the line you end up with JBS.

1. Trust fund kids.
2. Small biz owner….one of my neighbors doesn’t look a day older than 25 both him and his girlfriend… They own a tattoo shop in PB, and they moved in maybe 4-5 years ago.. Nice guy… Even offered me a tattoo. Lol…

Syndrome[/quote]If they do become Justin Beiber types, then you can start worrying about it. Are they probably going to party more than you and your family? Yes, most likely. Is this really a problem, though? No, not if you just realize that, as social animals, we sometimes have to deal with people who don’t do things exactly like we do.
As long as they’re nice, I think you should just wave to them and be friendly. Remember the old adage about flies and vinegar. If they think of you as the bitter, crotchety complainers next door who are trying to impose their will on everybody else, they will not respect you or your wishes. If they think of you as the nice family who are always friendly and waving to them, then if there is ever a problem, you can nicely mention it to them, and they will be much more likely to try to fix things as best as they can.

Party? Based on my understanding they’re not even old enough to buy beer!
Ok, maybe they started the latest craze in origami and are busy amassing a fortune.
Aside from that yes I’m suspicious. Particularly given the fact they have 3 pit-bulls.
March 24, 2014 at 11:45 PM #772211CA renterParticipantAre you thinking drugs, or what?
I was thinking they were probably trust fund babies or have rich parents (as noted by flu), or maybe have very wealthy boyfriends. How do you know about the dogs?

In a near perfect world I would agree with you CAR. But given that I just moved out of a community that was on the order of 90% renters, to be honest I’ve learned to play hardball.
Again, not all renters are bad, most aren’t.
But I will tell you that in my previous community, with the influx of renters came pit bulls, drugs and drug dealers, crime and much more police attention.

I know about the dogs because they bark and I can see them from my house.
They could be trust fund babies, since that is the demographic (again, IMO) that most embraces the ghetto lifestyle in a fake way. And that often includes getting a pit bull(s) as part of being a ghetto poser.
March 25, 2014 at 12:16 AM #772214CA renterParticipantTrue, in general, neighborhoods with a high percentage of renters tend to have more crime problems, blight, etc. Still, we’re not all bad! 😉 (Okay, I’m not renting now, but we did rent for ~8 years during the bubble.)
Just try to be patient and friendly, as that’s going to be the best way to get them on your side. I hope they end up being good neighbors. Best of luck, paramount.
March 25, 2014 at 2:58 AM #772215moneymakerParticipantI think exotic dancers make pretty good money and they like houses with pools, at least that’s how i see it. Put some DVR security cameras outside just in case. The ones they have now on the market are amazing, inexpensive, motion detecting, high resolution, come with app. Of course, then they might think you are the drug dealer.
March 25, 2014 at 5:32 AM #772216spdrunParticipantParty? Based on my understanding they’re not even old enough to buy beer!
If they do party (with beer or without), try not to be the grumpy neighbor who calls the cops on them. That’s a sure fire way to earn the ire of the neighbors.
Unless the party is seriously annoying, dangerous, or spills outside their property line, of course
The pit bulls would make me suspicious, true. Otherwise, if they’re 20-21, maybe they finished school early. These days, the right degree can get you $60k+/yr just out of college, which is enough to afford $1400-$1500/mo ($3000 by two people) in rent if you want to spend your money on rent.
March 25, 2014 at 6:56 AM #772217NotCrankyParticipantI think you should just move.
March 25, 2014 at 7:21 AM #772218scaredyclassicParticipantDefinitely sex workers.
See if you can find them on. http://Www.cityvibe.com
March 25, 2014 at 7:31 AM #772219zkParticipantJust make sure the don’t come on your lawn. And if they do, yell at ’em to get off your lawn.
Seriously, though, I’d be way more worried about the pitbulls than the girls. Especially if you have kids.
