french cartoon, nominated for an oscar last year. basically it’sabout a guy displaced by the modern (1959) economy, working as a magician in a world where rock n roll rules and there is no more room for magicians. it’s also about the perils of consumerism.
particularly beautiful and meaningful, at least to me. avail on netflix.
