delete.
August 8, 2012 at 10:10 PM #749803scaredyclassicParticipantConfirmed car would be used if dealer took it back. Once registered it is used.
August 8, 2012 at 10:39 PM #749804scaredyclassicParticipantTonight I kinda feel like giving it back.

Well, I would wait 9 more days after your rental expires before making a decision. But… In case you need motivation… Maybe 2012 will be discounted more? I’m pretty sure if you tell the dealership you’re giving it back, they’ll comp you $500 in return for signing the 0.9% financing. Just make sure they send you the contract before going to the dealership, and written guarantee they will give you $500 cash back up front.
1. 2013 Honda Accord. Yeah, not much changes.. but it’s around the corner…
2. 2013 Honda Accord Coupe… Pretty good looking imho…

August 8, 2012 at 11:07 PM #749806spdrunParticipantGot time for a little road trip up/down to Seattle before returning it? They’ll have a REALLY hard time selling a car with 3k miles on it at anything close to what you “Bernanke bought” it for.
August 8, 2012 at 11:09 PM #749807CoronitaParticipant
Take it for a quick jaunt up and down to Seattle (steady at 90% of redline RPM), then return it.
Thank you for proving my point as to why one should try to avoid buying preowned, expecially when the exact history is not known.
That said, there were a few times when I got a loaner from the stealership, I would throw it around. Someone that I know however, was really pissed at one dealer, and drove 125 miles with the parking brake engaged. When he picked me up to go somewhere, man his brakes were toasted… literally…
August 9, 2012 at 11:14 PM #749943scaredyclassicParticipantwell, hope im not letting you down, but I kind of feel like doing what seems right to me and not really trying to capitalize on their error. I had agreed to buy the car, so i want to buy the car, and also, i like the car. it feels safe.
I was negotiating just to remove the $80 document prep fee and for them to deliver the old car i left up there.
they agreed late tonight. also, i cannot get another dealership to match the price.
August 10, 2012 at 1:09 AM #749982CA renterParticipantGood for you, scaredy. Sounds like a good car for a good price. Still, might want to let them know that you don’t take kindly to their changes after the sale, and that you saw similar reports about their dealings on the internet.
August 10, 2012 at 6:10 AM #749984scaredyclassicParticipantno, this was just a mistake. i cannot see how it wasn’t. no bad publicity. it’s too smalla nd too much to me benefit.
feel so tucked away in this car, not driving like my hyper-defensive paranoid self. I drove my civic like i rode my scooter; looking for death atevery moment and ready for anything. of course the car may have been unprepared to respond, but i was at the ready.
this car is already getting me too relaxed. need more fear…

Those photos are going to cause scaredycat to shed what remaining fur he has and live thru his first 8 lives in 4 minutes flat – with his dicey 9th life still floating out there in suspension for potential use someday [img_assist|nid=16555|title=Yikes!|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=16|height=16]
August 10, 2012 at 4:32 PM #750043mike92104ParticipantI think I would have asked them to throw in a maintenance package to offset the added cost of their mistake. If they refused, I would give the car back, but they would have to come get it.
August 10, 2012 at 6:46 PM #750049patbParticipantscared, look at a Block 2 prius, or if you are concerned about gas prices
get a Chevy Voltreally wonderful car and does great in crashes. that battery gives you lots of momentum
August 10, 2012 at 6:47 PM #750050scaredyclassicParticipantthe temptation to stick it to the car dealer as revenge is strong. and yet, we must treat others as we would like to be treated, in a fair way. this applies to not just nice people. the rule applies to everyone…even bad people…otherwise, we become shitty too….
this accord is pretty heavy, i think 4300 lbs. i read somewhere that it’s going to be a lot lighter for 2013, which i don’t want. I want big and heavy.
