[quote=MadeInTaiwan]This is hilarious! You do realize that the Russian stock market collapsed last year. I think it went down over 60% around Nov. Russia’s economy is predicated on minimum $60.00/barrel oil. We can all do the math
Putin’s been saber rattling, tightening his control, scape goating minorities, turning a blind eye to assassination of any critics, picking war with Georgia, gloating over the West’s and specifically our dependence on cheap oil while his coffers were full.
Now that oil is around $40 a barrel, he is out of money and out of solutions with a collapsing economy.
He is paraphrasing that Iranian nut Ahmadinejad, who was also trying to divert attention from this country’s failed economy by railing against the U.S.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. It is more like a bit fat cast iron frying pan calling the kettle black.
Putin better pray for a quick U.S. recovery which will drive oil prices up. Otherwise his rule will collapse soon.
I am sure the knowledgeable folks at Fox know all of this an is only airing this as “satire”, or explained how ridiculous this criticism sounds. I am sure Fox played air this back to back with Ahmadinejad’s comments to show how stupid it is. The network would never try to put any sh!t out there just to criticize the present administration and see if it might stick. Heaven forbid!
That is why Fox is way above all other “drive-by’s” as the the only trustworthy news source.

There is one theory out there that this whole global economic slow down was brought about to collapse the Russian government (at least into something We (the U.S.A.) can deal with, they were getting out of hand and looking very expansionary in their plans etc…
Anyway from what I have been hearing just getting food is a real challenge in Russia these days (I think cheese is like 40 dollars a pound over there right now).
I think Russia will collapse in some form before the year is out, then someone will turn the switch back on and the economy will take off like an over caffeinated banshee .
I think especially in Socal we are in a drug induced coma. Just waiting for the drip to removed so we can wake up.
It’s like two teens playing chicken, only the U.S.A. is driving a Lincoln Navigator And Russia is driving a Yogo.
