Went to Kitchen 1540 last night. Nice looking place but the noise level was too high for my comfort. My wife loved the salmon but my steak was over cooked. No wine pairing with the menue and the waitress did not seem too knowledgable. Decent wine selection unless you order by the glass.

Friday is wine vault and Bistro, I’ve been there once and had a good experience. They are less a standard restaurant and more an event venue.

For one I live in Northpark so its a bit of a haul and there are good restaurants here (Better half and Adams ave Grill). Two the corkage is excessive. On the other hand they make the best risotto I’ve ever had.
