ParticipantIn order to provide feedback,
1) does the restaurant have to be on the list?
2) do you have to order the prix fixe menu?

ParticipantWent with a party of 6 to Market Restaurant. They charged $40 for Prix Fix (most expensive tier) and another $20 for the wine pairing. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Market seems to be one of the few places comparable with A.R. Valentien’s in NC. Add another $10/drink.

Participant
I had mentioned Nobu on here a few months ago. Did you go to the San Diego or Solana Beach Nobu? They are under different ownership, but we just go to the one in Solana Beach. Excellent Black Cod there, too!
You know I went there on a recommendation of a coworker on Friday night. I was not impressed with the sushi rolls per se but the quality of the fish was very high. I had the albacore and it melted in my mouth. Also the hostess was a complete nut job. She held us for 10 minutes trying to find a table. When we actually went into the dining room there was 5 or 6 tables there that were never filled. Pissed me off. They made us wait to turn a two-seater so that they could save the four-seat tables for people that had not shown up.
But otherwise it was good….
