ParticipantRent it out as a venue for the reception? The wedding itself would be in the {church, synagogue,Sumerian temple,Buddhist shrine} of choice. Therefore, it’s not a wedding venue.

Rich ToscanoKeymasterI’m imagining something like this, except the arch behind them is a squat rack.

GuestYou’d have to clean up your junk.
The IBM selectric could be a wedding prop somewhere.

svelteParticipantRenting it out for a wedding is one thing. Those are in the daylight and everyone is sober.
Renting it out for a reception is quite another. I’ve been to a few receptions that have gotten out of hand.

I don’t know – it seems to me that the problems I’ve seen haven’t been with the bride and groom (or whomever you would be dealing with beforehand) but with the cousins and drunkles and yay-hoos that must be invited (because they’re family!) then proceed to drink themselves into oblivion.
And thinking about it more, the problems I’ve seen haven’t really been at indoor receptions but outdoor receptions. Maybe the problem relatives bring their own ice chests? I don’t know the reason.
We saw it coming during one that turned into a mele so we cut out early and went to a nightclub for the rest of the evening. The next day the bride and groom told us we had made the right decision – things got ugly. 🙂

GuestMaybe you can build a guest house, or separate off a wing off of the main house and rent it out on Airbnb/vrbo to vacationers coming to enjoy the Temecula wine country. There’s got to be a market for that. Snow birds from the Midwest?
