CoronitaParticipantCheck out Sausalito. I think there is one or two detached homes available for rent (not sure).
It’s right across the street from Torrey Hills Elementary (for better or worse)….
I’ve been told residence were pissed one night when the fire alarm malfunctioned and went off from like 4am to 9am over a holiday :(. I was across the other side of the canyon and could hear it, I can’t imagine what it was like for folks directly across the street from the school. You probably need to drive by to see if they are still available.Apartment also includes Archstone in Torrey Hills and one other appartment (forget the name), off the otherside of Archstone. Also, if you live anywhere in the del mar heights area, it’s walking distance to Carmel Creek Elementary (which BTW ironically isn’t part of the Carmel Valley School district…it belongs to Solana Beach, but I doubt there’s any difference.)
Complexes to check out include both attached a detached. Some within walking distance are Crest at Del Mar (attached), Halcyon(attached), Antares(detached),Heights(apartment/condo convert), Carmel Pointe(attached). Added bonus is that if you live in around here location, it’s also walking distance to Carmel Valley middle school, recreation center, and tennis courts that use to be free (but no longer). You might also want to do a drive by near the actually elementary schools too. Supposedly “the best” is Sage Canyon, though i’d say best versus everything else is within a margin of error of parenting and your kid’s abilities.

ParticipantAre there actually any rentals in Sage Canyon’s boundaries? I’m not certain there are. But it is the best of the best in terms of test scores.
