Bring a tape measure while shopping. There is ‘counter’ depth which the door is flush with the cabinets and the larger ( + 25 cuft) will stick out beyond the counter top. The larger ones will fit gallon milk containers in the door.
I find we only use the first 12″ of the shelves or so. Deeper than that no one likes to unload stuff to get to the back forty.
Personally, I like the wide shallow ( like sub-zero) as items don’t get buried in the back but remember these are custom build in.
Take a look at the french door units. I like the working layout better ( wider access )than side by sides.
Ice maker, a must, ahem, is quite handy though thru the door units give up interior space.
Another thing, as much as I think weekly menu planning will result is one shopping trip/week it never happens. Given we ‘just pick up a couple of things’ several times a week… smaller refrig is perfectly fine. YMMV
