That is okay if you are not a homeowner because the gasoline tax kicks in on April 1. Don’t worry Macro, the state has plenty of ways to screw you.
Oh yeah, the San Diego City Council is considering a pay raise for themselves.
Lets not forget that your water bill will be going up this year and then another 15% next year to.
Not sure if there is a way around that.
Let’s also not forget the state sales tax increases by 1% starting April 1st too. So every $10k you spend on a car you will have to pay an extra $100.
I think the greater fools (including myself) are going to be the ones who are fiscally responsible and don’t normally spend up the yazoo and are now going to have to bend over anyway as part of spreading the wealth plan by our state and federal government.
We’re forking over money for stuff that we won’t directly benefit from anyway. Might as well spend money on a property tax your home.

And as of this morning, SD Treasury online website was down.
BTW: Is it taboo for a neighbor to remind another neighbor that property taxes are due, when the neighbor defaulted on installment payment in from April 2007 and hasn’t made the first installment payment that was due in Dec 08? Yes, I know. I’m being an ass. π

If you rent, in most condos, water is part of the HOA which the landlord pays. π
I know the tenant indirectly pays for everything, but the shortage is made up by the landlord.
