I feel the exact same way.
When spdrun says he hopes people get run over by a MAC truck, i can understand.
I’m a pretty easy going guy. I like everyone who treats nice, I really don’t care someone else might feel about that person.
I never felt any seething hate, but if bad people suffer then it’s well deserves.

‘I’m Not Celebrating the Death of a Human Being’
I think that there was at least something just about Fidel. But Dick Cheney is very evil to me. I will celebrate when he dies.

There is a difference between celebrating the death of someone who was evil and actively hoping they die. I’m sure you look at yourself in the mirror and think you are better than the “hateful Trump voters” but you are much, much worse.
December 3, 2016 at 3:50 PM #804212spdrunParticipantIs hatred always the wrong response? Is it wrong to hate a murderous dictator and wish them dead, or even help them along?
Would you have blamed someone for getting rid of Castro if they had succeeded? How about the military officers who offed Trujillo in the DR — do you think that they were wrong in ridding their country of a murderous, raping, xenophobic, self-enriching dictator?
December 3, 2016 at 4:53 PM #804214FlyerInHiGuestI don’t believe in God so my prayers would not be answered anyway. I’ve never bothered to hope or pray anyone would die.
But I wouldn’t care if something bad happened to nasty people. For example, I knew a vociferous right winger who was laid off and exhausted cobra. He hated Obamacare and that was before the law was implemented. He got cancer without health insurance about 1 year before 65. Died about 1 month after turning 65 and getting Medicare.
Did I pray for that to happen? No. Did I feel sorry? No. Did I celebrate? No. Do I feel there was some sort of poetic justice? Sure. I feel sorry for the wife (my extended relative) and kids, but I feel nothing for the guy. Maybe some pity for being stupid.
Dick Cheney’s death calls for champagne celebration, however.

That’s different I think. If something bad happens and we feel pleasure that is schadenfreude.
Actively hoping for people to die is something different.

December 4, 2016 at 1:19 PM #804227spdrunParticipantI love Soros, may he live a hundred years. He’s done a lot to bring freedom to Eastern Europe, which was under Soviet heel.
As far as cops who might be required to be more restrained: too bad. If you can’t be restrained in a job that involves the risk of killing people, it’s not the job for you.
December 4, 2016 at 1:52 PM #804228scaredyclassicParticipantplease lord G-d you know there is a seed of cancer inside him, you know every seed, let thatseed double and redouble in the name of allthat is holy let that cancer overtake his system. let him be helpless to fight it off.
we thank you in the name of satan amen.
prayer changes things. it can heal the sick …and if enough people pray for death, sometimes He listens,to those prayers. G-d soes not seem to particularly mind killing off humans. ask and ye shall receive.
December 4, 2016 at 7:37 PM #804243FlyerInHiGuestI will pray for Cheney’s death tonight
