Your wrong.
After forty all bets are off.
One of my best friends since high school won’t make fifty.
He has a young son and having just one myself his slowing passing serves as a constant reminder to love and cherish everyday I have with my son and not to waste a single day not doing so.
Sad man… Sad,

i remember in the 70s being a little kid and him being interested in computers and building some sort of very simple plastic calculating type machine he bought from edmund scientific that he showed me one passover. then it seems like a few minues later he went to MIT … it all seems kinda fast…

I’m sorry for your loss, Scaredy.
I agree that even 50 is being optimistic. My brother died at age 47 (2 months shy of 48)… He was very athletic, ate healthy, had no risk factors other than genetics. Anniversary of his death is this week. My dad had died a few months earlier. Mortality slapped me hard in the face that year.
Realizing there are no health guarantees, even if you eat right and exercise, was a factor in my decision to retire early… Life is short.
My friend ran marathons but his dad died super young. Age 40.
Sorry about your friend. Under 50 is way too young to die. Sad.
Sounds like bad genes. But still being health conscious is good insurance against dying young.
