No sure how the social conservatives can support Palin when that family represents the vices of America, namely sex and alcohol.

[/quote]Oh come on. Obama wrote in his book about his drug abuse. What’s this “holier then thou” BS anyway?
Palin has an approval rating of 80% in AK, which is pretty extraordinary. Nationwide people like her better then Obama, Biden or McCain.

ParticipantI hold moral conservatives to higher standards because, according to them, vice would decline under their leadership.
But as it turns out, vice is rampant in the bible belts and in religious families.
It’s normal for liberals to experiment with drugs and alcohol when they are young. They are more permissive; so I don’t see it as a big deal.

I never heard any republican say that “vice” would decline under their leadership. As far as the bible belt goes it was all Democratic until the late 60’s.
You are admitting to holding people to different standards. That is about as unfair as you can get.
