How many times did he had to fight discrimination in his life? How can he relate to you?
Dumbrenter…I agreed with everything you said, BUT the above is one of the dumbest things I’ve heard. Are you freakin’ serious??? Of course, Obama has had to deal with racism and OF COURSE he can relate to ALL other black people. He’s had to deal with descrimination just like a black person with two black parents. Absolutely no diff whatsoever.
I’m black, much lighter than Obama with Caucasion features and long hair past my shoulders, I’ve been called “N*gger” before. Do you actually think Obama hasn’t?? or had to deal with any other form of racism that every black person from the very lightest to the very darkest has had to? What planet do YOU live on? If a black person cannot pass for white, he/she will always be subject to racism.
Why do I have to explain this??
Your post is very insulting to African-Americans dumbrenter, but maybe you meant it to be.

June 5, 2008 at 2:14 PM #217588meadandaleParticipantI’d vote for Bill Cosby for president before I’d vote for Obama.
Obama versus McCain?
I hate to say it but if many conservatives are like me, Obama is gonna win because I won’t vote for McCain ‘for the party’. I can’t stand him and I still fail to understand how he got the nomination. I’ve asked everyone of my conservative friends “did you vote for mccain in the primary?”. I’ve yet to find anyone who did so I can’t figure out how he actually won.
Frankly, I’m almost willing to concede to having a Dem in the whitehouse if McCain is the best we can come up with in a country of 300 million people. I’m sick of the Bush haters “Bush this, Bush that” and almost welcome having a Democrat as POTUS again so, when nothing changes, I can rub it in their faces. Of course, 4 years from now, when nothing significant is different, you know that they’ll all STILL be blaming it on Bush. How convenient…
McCain versus Obama?
I’ll vote “none of the above”–hopefully we can have a “do over”.

June 5, 2008 at 2:25 PM #217613Ex-SDParticipantMarion, from your many posts on a variety of subjects, it has become very apparent to me that you are a “Professional Victim”. Now, here we go with the “Race Card” Why don’t you give it a rest?
