There is no alcohol on the park, so don’t have to deal w/drunk idiots. It wasn’t crowded. Got to see fireworks. The next day, woke up and drove home. Great idea if you have kids, too. It’s a nice way to end the year and not be in a bar. But it’s not the cheapest idea.

That said – most years it’s at home with friends/family/kids and we ring in the 9pm (12 ET)… Two times we’ve ditched the kids with family and spent the night downtown – enjoying nice dinners followed by blues at Patricks. (I love that place… not fancy, but GREAT music.)
This year, since it’s our 10th, we’re going large. We’ll be in NYC.
