Ricechex,
You’re thinking too much like a straight shooter. While there might not be a legal path for you to pursue, there are plenty of things you can do if you’re willing to sneak up in the middle of the night or when no one is looking….
Starting with the mildest…Go find yourself some nice big/tall orange cones from a hardware store…Get 6 to 7 of them… In the middle of the night or when no one is looking just, put those cones in front of your house, making sure you don’t leave enough space in between cones to let a car park there. You’d be surprised just the mere presence of cones, most people don’t bother thinking if it’s legit construction cones or not.
As an added bonus, go find a large wooden signpost and/or construction crate at home depot, and just place it on the road along with your cones, to make it look like it’s a construction.
Worked for me for about 6 months when I worked in SF and couldn’t find parking. Get to work, remove cone and stuff in trunk. Leave work, take the cone out and leave it in the parking spot.
I’m sure that you don’t have any problem with all the fraud that went on in real estate, in the middle of the night, when nobody was looking.
no, i didn’t…until it started coming out of us taxpayers….please get out of your high horse there Brian. if there’s anything I can prove, is just about everyone has some skeleton’s in the closet. If not, you would be a nun or monk who didn’t care about material things and you wouldn’t be posting on this board.
And please, if you ever tried to find parking in SF, you would quickly learn it’s more cost effective to illegally park, and risk get a parking ticket 1 or two times per week by overextending a meterred spot than to actually try finding parking or putting it into a lot.

August 15, 2009 at 5:04 PM #445003RicechexParticipant
My advice honestly is that this is a lesson that you cannot control anything accept what goes on your property. This man has to make a living and I’m sure as a business owner during the recession he’s got enough problems aside from the fact that his big fat truck on your street is an eyesore.
Obviously by him parking on the side of the house he is conscience of what he’s doing. It sounds like this has taken up a lot of your time and I have to wonder if you are retired or a stay at home something, because who really cares on weekdays and evenings if a truck is out front if you are working all day and can’t see out at night anyway.
Damn, throw a block party- have fun and if they don’t show up leave a plate on the door. Its hard to be a d*ck to someone who is a friend or friendly…most of the time.
I have seen your posts in the past, and you are not the sharpest tool in the shed, snottygirl. You know nothing about anyone else’s life but presumptuously act as if you do. Remember your posts about partypup? Obnoxious and unfounded.
