Well so much for a thread about my company and its trend bucking hiring…
Are you kidding? We’ve kept this thread at or near the top of the active forum topics list since you posted it.

Vim?!?!?!
And you name yourself after a wizard? Everybody knows that real wizards use emacs like God and rms intended.

I read Piggington with Lynx.
Lynx does a lousy job with three column sites like this one (I tried). Try elinks instead–it handles tables and frames fairly gracefully for a textmode browser.

Seriously…emacs? It slices! It dices! It changes your sheets, cleans the bathroom, reads your email, edits your files, borks your wife! It does it all!!
Meh…I want to edit text not take over the world. Vi/Vim works great. I did all my college programming assignments in vi over a telnet session to the university.

December 24, 2009 at 10:11 AM #496970enron_by_the_seaParticipantYou know netscape just had an IPO and their stock went up something like 300% in one day. This thing is going to be huge man! Have you used netscape? The whole world wide web looks different from netscape!!!
I am hearing that Yahoo is also getting ready to go public. This is ridiculous. I mean who would want to buy stock of a search engine company? How would they ever make any money?
I am asking all my classmates in CS101 to use netscape. But some of them seem want to use AOL at home. AOL, really! What is that? It seems like it is meant for the dumbest possible user!
Enough of this. Let me finger and see if that cute girl in my class is online now.
PS: Have you used the 16K modems? They are sweet, I head that someone is working on a 64K modem now, but my EE grad student friend told me that it is impossible based on some work by a guy named Shannon.
