Anybody ever watch Mecum? I saw a ’59 Chevy Impala that was just stunning. The lines, the tailfins/rear end, the lights. I mean, you know, they just don’t make cars like that anymore. The cars that are made now are just shit compared to back in the day. No wonder all the U.S. car companies are going under. What the hell happened? When was it ok to mass produce crap?
I love Impala’s. I had a ’67 that I bought off the original owner up in Fletcher Hills. I had it parked on 6th Avenue, and it was stolen. Wawanesa gave me twice what I paid for it 🙂 That’s one of my dream classic cars. I like the body style of the mid to late 60’s better than those of the 50’s.
