[/quote]Yep, we talked about this with locals too. Some were of the opinion that there would be more jobs once City Center and Fountainebleau opened.
My position was no – it would simply rob jobs from the other casinos. If you’re not filling up the rooms you have, all that opening more rooms will do is further deplete existing occupancy rates…and thus cost jobs at the older casinos.
I agree with all that folks have said…Vegas is going to get worse before it gets better. I don’t see any other option at this point.
And I too feel it’s a good thing for us visitors. It was getting to the point where I felt like I was getting bent over every time I paid for a room. With prices coming down, I’m hoping to have a wide range of reasonably priced options for our next trip…
