Foundatinbleau declares bankruptcy.
So now Vegas has an almost-completed 68-floor 3,812-room hotel sitting and rotting on the north end of the strip. I guess this is good news for City Center?

and couple hundred bucks in food credit..
Vegas could attract more people if they went back to the old school deals..steak and lobster for 7.95..Food there cost so much now they have
every famous chef in the world there..and to pay for it they reflect that on the food..nothing like $20 burgers.June 11, 2009 at 3:13 PM #414262chaozzParticipant2 months ago if you had a amex platinum card they where giving you 2 free nights at Wynn or encore

It’s going to get even worse for Vegas in December when City Center comes on line with 2,650 new condos and 4,800 hotel rooms. It is the largest privately financed development in the US with a total cost of $11 billion (wtf?!). The project almost came to a halt a few months ago when Dubai World sued over a $200 mil financing dispute. MGM had to sell the Treasure Island Resort for $775 million to raise money to complete it. Now the project is back on track. Good thing because it would have been a massive skeleton of Blade Runner sci-fi otherwise.[/quote]
Saw City Center last month…I wasn’t expecting much but I have to tell you, it is very impressive! I couldn’t take my eyes off of it.
It is going to drop room rates in Vegas though…already getting flyers from the other casinos offering pretty damn good rates from now through spring. Vegas is scared…
