pretty much my life is troublefree, but one problem i have had for a long time was, i cant find my GODDAMNED KEYS. sometimes.
my sole new years resolution was to not misplace my keys, and frankly, almost a month into it, i must commend myself for actually changing. my normal routine was just to let them drop out of my hand in a different, random place in the house after i enter, almost in an unconscious trancelike state, and then play this game the next day where i frantically try to find them upon trying to leave in the morning. it’s a terrifying game! and it involves screaming and running up and down stairs…suicide threats. weeping. renting of garments. prayer. whispered promises to never ever let this happen again. it’s truly quite the spectacle…
now, i put them in the same place every day. it’s not as exciting, but…i haven’t lost my keys. so change, even at this late state and stage of life for me, actually is possible. i did misplace the mail key, which is on a separate keychain, just one time…but i hadn’t resolved not to misplace that key…and now ive got a system for that one too and everything is fine once more…
wallet also has been with the key and not yet misplaced this year. although keys were the greater problem…
normally, i had to search for it 3 to 4 times a week…
it sounds crazy but this one change has really improved my life. I’m thinking about buying a fancy key chain to make the keys even more special…
I think you may have ADD, perhaps some seratonin replacement therapy might be in order. In other words relax and be happy! I’m going to pop some melatonin plus theanine and have some vivid dreams.
I always had the same problem with my wallet and keys and other stuff. Now I do pretty much the same thing. they always go back into my backpack as soon as I’m done with them, or upon returning home (if I went out without the backpack). It works well.
$50.00 for a key chain? Heck no, scaredy! Are you the guy with the old, cat-pissed, A/C-less Honda who was considering a composting toilet; or are you the guy with the bespoke suits, fancy watches, and $50.00 key chains? Don’t like to be put in a box, do you? 😉
Anyway, just have a large bowl or basket near the door where you usually enter/exit, and put ALL of the junk you need to carry around on a daily basis in there.

Hmmm. A bowl. Near the exit. Hmmm. Seems easier to just leave the door open with the key in the car at all times.
