    Paul Craig Roberts has a very interesting background as a former cabinet member of the Reagan admin, and his views and written pieces are well worth reading, and he loathes the neocons for good reason.

    Thanks, Larry. I’ve read some of Roberts’ stuff. I don’t know that I agree with everything he writes, but include me in the “really pissed-off” camp.

    This Russia / Georgia business was just HUGE. I don’t believe the impact can be understated. American power and influence in the region has been eviscerated. Europe is at risk going forward, oil supplies flowing through Georgia, tactical nuke targets if things escalate.
