Testing the Edit function …
Once a message receives a reply, the message which was replied to is no longer edit-able.
I think that is probably the intended use of the edit function. Once replaied to why should we be able to edit oour posts.
Otherwise, I can say something stupid like:
“The real estate market in San Diego is NOW at the bottom”and after people reply to my stupidity, I can’t go back and switch the “W” to a “T” and then call them names for not being able to read.

June 17, 2008 at 6:23 PM #224360daveljParticipantIn my opinion – which is worth exactly what you’re paying for it – you should only be able to edit (a) your most recent post, and (b) only prior to someone responding to it. Otherwise, you’re SOL.

June 17, 2008 at 6:27 PM #224355AnonymousGuestRich, I’ve been able to edit the opening post. However, I can’t edit my 8:05 am post, but I can edit some that came after that one, not all.
So, it appears FormerSanDiegan might be right in that once a post is replied to you can no longer edit it.
Rich, if that’s the case and you can delete all words out of my 8:05 post, I’ll be happy. π
