i just remembered i love scotch,
laphroaig has a great arketing gimmick. you buy a bttle and register with them they give you one square foot of land near their water source. if you go visit they lend you some boots and a hatso you can go out to your square foot, also a hat and free plaphoroaig when you get back to the distillery.
i am a friend of laphroiag and owna sqauare foot!!!
but. this stuff is expensive. 45. 00 a bottle.
but still, you get a square foot of real estate.
You need to sober up before you write… so we can understand you.

I prefer Lagavulin to Laphroig and it’s almost 2x the price. Talk about expensive.

Mead: Have you checked out Trader Joes? They have an impressive selection of single malts and their prices are pretty reasonable.
Also, Costco had a screaming deal on Lagavulin 16yo over the holidays. $56 a bottle (versus $85 in the stores).
They also had a Kirkland brand 20yo Speyside for $44.99, and it was excellent.

Laphroaigp seems especially something. Smoky…
so, anyway. when you buy a bottle of laphroaig, and register it, they give you one square foot of land out their way. you can go visit it when you like. they’ll point you toward it. for this reason, im sticking with laphroaig also, it’s very manly. woman and children cannot stand the smell…
smells like smoke, seaweed, peat and bandaids, per the internet reviews. normally i cannot taste any wine descriptors, but laphroaig is pretty recognizableysmokey and bandaidy. with peat. i can’t really taste the seaweed, but maybe, although could just be in my head

I did happen to get in on the Costco deal…I got 4 bottles of Lagavulin…and 4 bottles of Pyrat rum, which was also on sale. Haven’t checked out single malts at Trader Joe’s…I’ll put that on my list. I have bought several of the kirkland scotches in the past and they’ve always been good. They had a 25YO a few years ago that was $70 and was actually Macallan…at half the price of Macallan.
