Oh, I am trying. The refrigerator is made in Canada and the D/W is made in Germany. Nothing made in China, if I can help it. I’m having cabinets made custom by a local guy. Made sure not even the hinges are made in China. Found out that Kraftmaid, though made in Ohio, uses parts from China. Thomasville however is all made here in the USA. But for almost the same price, I can really give the work here. You know me better than that, flu. I’m all about keeping jobs here, if I can π

February 23, 2011 at 7:39 AM #669992jpinpbParticipantSince I had to go back to re-look at ranges, that put the sinks on the back burner (did I really say that). But I did see some nice apron sinks for the same as undermount, so I may go apron sink.
And yes, flu — the sinks I am looking at are made in the USA!

Great idea. Already done that. But you still need a vacuum. Actually hard surfaces show dust even more then than carpet.
I bought at cheap shopvac from Walmart (about $40) and it’s not very good. Weak sucking power, and the hard surface attachment is cheap and scratches.
The Miele canister looks nice. Lots of positive reviews, but expensive!
