Yay! Congratulations to your entire family, and especially your son! 🙂
He’s happy and well adjusted. Sometimes the acorn falls far from the tree and gets carried off to better more stable patches.
What you may or may not know is that the first year is a purposeful “washout” progam in engineering.
It is designed to purposely over stress the student and to make them reconsider the program.
To seperate the hackers from the non-hackers… Its analagous to hell week in the navy SEALs except this last a year.
For you son to survive… and makes dean’s list is a tremendous accomplisment and you should be very proud.
