Navigon works. They are limited to North America, Europe and Australia.

Mapping uses triangulation based on cell towers. You can buy a local SIM card and pop it into your iPhone (cheaper than using hotel phone). Just make sure that that the iPhone is unlocked and jailbroken.

August 25, 2009 at 1:14 PM #448787kev374Participantit will not fetch data via roaming unless you turn that feature on (it is OFF by default)…if it tries to fetch data you will just get a message saying that you need to turn roaming on to proceed.
