OT – iPad 2

Why does a simple question about the iPad need to become a political issue?
Brian is just trying to save his friend anywhere between $40 and $70 depending on what version she will end up purchasing. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion…

Anyway I bought my iPad (first generation) at the UCSD bookstore about two weeks after it was officially released:

They were and still are selling $100 under the retail price. Even with the sales tax, it is still a sweet deal. I am not sure if you have to be a UCSD student to purchase electronics there. I am no longer a student and the guy at the store didn’t asked me any student ID.

You may also consider Wal-Mart though I doubt that the iPad 2 will be available right away.

I love this thing…. It just kicks butt… I mean, maybe not $800 awesome (thank god I didn’t pay for it out of my own personal expenses) but definitely different…..

Now if Sanjay would only price the darn thing appropriately…Like how about a wifi-only version for $399.
Then maybe, just maybe, MMI might give Apple a run for the money….
