The biggest argument for the iPad is the large number of apps, and it’s always brought up in comparos, but you have to throw that argument out, because Android has completely free development tools and will have many more users – so in a year or two, Android tablet apps will far exceed those on the iPad. Because it’s open source, in a way, Android is even more hippie than the iPad. That means that really important developments happen faster – such as the 20+ Charlie Sheen apps that are available now.
It also bugs me that Apple operating systems always target below-average IQ’s. The ability to tweak things is there, and the hardware is solid, but they actually make the day-to-day interface more cumbersome to keep dumb people from doing dumb things, rather than making it as intuitive and efficient as possible.
So I know own both an Android and a iPhone. I can say this… iPhone was inovative… WAS… Android is so much better than iPhone. The only thing my iPhone does better is it plays Netflix… My Galaxy doesn’t.
Also… I thought the Apple products were Unix based as well.

I can’t prove this with elegant stats, but Apple does this because most people are dumb! How many people hire a tax firm for 5 line 1040EZ? Wait, QED!
