    A friend who lives abroad asked me to buy her the iPad 2.

    She’s coming to San Diego on April 1 and she wants the iPad upon arrival.

    Other than directly from Apple, where should I look for the iPad 2 that will ship directly to me without sales taxes?

    The iPad 1 is available from Amazon (sold by a third party but fulfilled by Amazon). But I see no mention of iPad 2.

    It goes on the market March 11, so a little patience may be crucial.

    However, I haven’t followed the sales release vs. Amazon availability in previous Apple products, so I can’t really provide anything other information.

    Best bet is to go to the Apple store directly.
