ParticipantWhile this acquisition may be bad for Intel’s shareholders (it probably is), look at all the folks who benefit:
(1) McAfee’s shareholders – they get to cash out at a premium
(2) The investment bankers who will collect a huge fee on the deal
(3) Intel’s senior management, who will now get larger paychecks because revenues (and certainly aggregate profits, although perhaps not on a per-share basis) will be larger.The above three groups LOVE this acquisition. And all at the expense of Intel’s powerless shareholders. Ain’t life grand.
