I think that one needs to have cash/gold/silver/gasoline/food on hand.
The times we live in though demand that one must have cash in the bank. Direct depoist, billpay, all keep my finances running smoothly. However, the reserve or the president or any of the CZARS can freeze bank accounts at will. Make no mistake about that. All the food that I have accumulated has 2012 dates. Everytime that I go shopping I buy 4-5 items that I add to my storehouse. I tell everyone I know that I hope my keeping assets at home is the single most stupid thing I ever do….but I am glad to do it if the worst case does come.
