ParticipantThere are portable coops so they can eat the bugs all over the yard as their condo is moved and most of these keep out the predators from coyotes to raptors. The chickens really pay for their own keep.

ParticipantHow many chickens does it take for a dozen eggs every 48 hours?
Since going all-meat ala Gary Taubes, I’ve developed real love for Eggs especially fried in butter. Yummy. I feel like a damn savage I am salivating so much for the eggs as they come off the burner.

Guest[quote=partypup]Enorah, I always knew that you and I were kindred spirits π My partner and I have also decided to move to Ojai (or Carpinteria) in a few months. It is most definitely time to leave L.A. And we, too, are being called. Ojai/Carp is close enough to L.A. to allow us to visit and allow me to tele-commute a few days a week until I am laid off after my contract expires in March 2011. Ihave no bloody idea how my company will survive until then, but if they do I’m getting paid π

In good humor here:
I’m glad that right-wingers are moving to the middle of nowhere where the opportunities for income producing venture will be limited. We want them to have less money so they have no choice but to stay there …. π
Fallbrook used to attract them (KKK in So Cal) but is seems like Fallbrook is becoming more of a suburb of San Diego and Riverside.
