sdr: I haven’t seen it. However, my 11 year old son now has me addicted to the “World’s Deadliest Warrior” show. They pit various foes against each other, like knights versus pirates, or the IRA versus the Taliban (no, seriously).
They show all the various weapons used and then plot out who the winner is by testing the weapons on dead pigs, bodies/torsos made of bone and gelatin and even appliances (again, really).
The show is fascinating (even if you don’t always agree with the the outcome).
I’ll check out the linebackers wrecking the Cessna. Sounds fun.

June 3, 2009 at 9:07 AM #409587daveljParticipantI’m a fan of 1000 Ways to Die. All true stories. Who knew there was so much creativity in folks finding bizarre ways to put themselves in harm’s way?
I especially liked the guy who was in the hospital suffering from 3rd degree burns over his entire body because he fell asleep while smoking a lit cigarette. He’s covered in gauze and in a wheelchair and bribes a nurse to let him go out back for 5 minutes to smoke a cigarette. Of course, he lights up, ashes fall on his gauze, which is soaked in highly flammable ointments, and he catches on fire. As he’s flailing about, his wheelchair starts to roll down a ramp and eventually the fire ignites the oxygen tank attached to the back of his wheelchair and he blows up. Good stuff.

I have seen deadliest warrior’s and it doesnt hold a candle to watching the Pumphrey Brothers destroy things. It’s on a channel called G-4 which I had never heard of before I found these guys in a bought of late nite channel surfing. You could probably find them on You tube also.June 3, 2009 at 9:56 AM #409885sdrealtorParticipantAllan
