Vote, at the end of the day, is the tyranny of the majority. Therefore, it would be able to do almost nothing in addressing the internal conflicts of this nation.

i had saved my unmailed bush gore ballot for many years, hoping to sell it on ebay someday, but i lost it somewhere.

I was thinking of saving this ballot too, but decided to let the money go and mail it in.

Hate to be the realist here, but does anyone think the political dynamic and news cycle will substantially change with a Biden presidency?

I will certainly be happy if he and his fam are kicked to the Pennsylvania Avenue curb come January, but I also feel that the collective liberal ejaculation over a Biden win may prove to be quite premature.

Bit like all the unrealistic expectations on a vaccine approval quickly making things go back to the way they were pre-COVID. Just pure disillusionment for the majority of the (naturally optimistic) general population.

I’ve often wondered over the past few years if we’ve entered an era where each side elects someone even more extreme just to piss off the other side…like the pendulum is swinging wider and wider. It feels as if the right took such offense to Obama that they elected someone as out there as they could. And while Biden isn’t “out there” Kamala could be viewed that way by some.

… Because I couldn’t think of a better role model for the First Lady than Kim Kardashian.

… And it’s the best way I thought I could support BLM…

…by cutting out the usual white guy middleman that normally is always in the way …

But more importantly, I voted no for almost every single proposition. Especially Prop 16…..

I did the same thing. Actually I’ve done so the last few elections…no, no, no, no, no…

Usually one or two yeses but almost all no.

And I voted no on 16 also.

except
14 Medical Bonds (I voted no)
15 Prop Tax Chg (I voted yes)
22 Uber (I voted no)
24 Consumer Privacy (I voted no)

And to tell you the truth, I didn’t care about any of those all that much so I’m fine with it.
